‘We Merge to Surge’ celebrates the undying spirit of those little hearts, who scaled deafness with unrelenting courage and determination. The perseverance and cooperation with the systems, processes and people who were instrumental in this gruesome treatment journey exhibited by these spirited little children, deserves a special salute.
‘We Merge to Surge’ is managed and hosted by ICHF (I Can Hear Foundation) a not for profit institution with the purpose of giving due support to the initiative against Deafness – a disability which is potentially and absolutely defeatable.
‘We Merge to Surge’ celebrates the joy of hope and fulfillment, experienced after the completion of the treatment journey laden with pain, challenges and obstacles of all kind and nature. An achievement that led these children – from despair to confidence, from silence to sound and from deafness to hearing.
‘We Merge to Surge’ is supported by Project Ghanti – a project powered by ICHF and THF which enables impoverished little children suffering from acute hearing loss to get Cochlear Implants and hearing rehabilitation at little or no cost.
‘We Merge to Surge’ celebrates the wonders of medical science and the pure intent of its professionals, who have worked tirelessly with unmatched dedication to bring sound and hearing into the lives of these children. No words can define the value of the skill, precision, expertise and patience, used decisively, to arrive at these results.
‘We Merge to Surge’ is supported by Adventis – an ENT center. Adventis has a special focus on Cochlear & Auditory Implants and has as its Director, Dr (Prof) Ameet Kishore –the renowned CI surgeon
‘We Merge to Surge’ celebrates the magic of technology and advancements in the field of medical research, devices and machines. A magic which through the efforts of skilled audiologists and rehabilitation professionals, has literally turned this disability on its head and has lent these little souls – the power of hearing.
‘We Merge to Surge’ is supported by SpHear – a centre for Audiology, specializing in Cochlear Implants , Hearing Devices and Speech & Hearing Rehabilitation. SpHear is owned, managed and run by Ms Neevita Narayan, the renowned audiologist from AIIMS.
‘We Merge to Surge’ celebrates the vision of an inclusive social fabric, laden with opportunities for these children to merge, co-exist, compete and in some cases surge ahead of the competition. A world of inclusion which breeds more such fearless little hearts, more such journeys and more such success stories.
‘We Merge to Surge’ is supported by Fundors, Associations, Socially Responsible Corporates, CSR Initiatives, Hospitals and Individuals who wish to see, make and be a part of our initiative against Deafness.
I am feeling honored to be a part of the We_merge event. I’m part of such a program whose initiative is to enlighten people about this taboo and how we can bring these children to main stream and and help build a better nation.
I’m very happy to know that Mr Ameet Kishore and Neevita Narayan the co-founders of ICHF are doing such great work for hearing impaired children. You are giving a second life to these children by giving them their voice and hearing back. You, doctors are transforming a curse to a boon for these children.
Healthcare is so full of unsung heroes and in this field of cochlear implant and audiology and hearing impaired the audiologists and the speech therapists are the true unsung heroes.
ICHF has an initiative supported by the The Hans Foundation – Project Ghanti. Ghanti stands for the resolution of deafness and hearing loss. Through the Project Ghanti – about 80 children and adults have been implanted with Conchlear Implants over the last 3 years. “Ab Bajegi Ghanti Sunenge Hum” is a song which defines this project and the sensibility behind it. Aarna, Manya, Arnav & Farzad under the guidance of Ashish Martin Chauhan, performed this very special song.
The pinnacle of excitement in the list of cultural performances, was reached at by a group dance performance depicting celebration after victory over hearing loss. The performers were an Unintended Mix of Children. The audience shook a leg and clapped along. We stood for inclusion, we stood for them.
